Subject: Phil, take a breath!

Here is my approach on ebay. I study what I'm buying, (what it costs if I buy it new and what it has been bringing on ebay) and then I set my max dollar using a proxy bid. Then I walk away and wait for an email. If I win, great, if I lose, fine but I will have wasted only minimal time. Time is money, 3 hours spent buying a $100 item for $80 is money wasted. You could have bought it new and still pocketed $25.

I have seen many used items sell for more than new price on ebay over the years. Its fun to watch, but painful to be involved in. Sniping is usually the cause of people bidding higher than they should.

Adios,

Dietrich
