IL
We just got home from our 2000 mile trip to Belton, TX and our soutwest type conf. show. Took 2 gilts down, and got to have one go home with another breeder from OK, thru the sale. Had just beautifull weather there with sunny, breezy and 85 deg. Thursday we had the pleasure to meet up with Haywilson and had the first of our several Texas Bar-B-Que meels. ( went to Schlopf's, Johnnie's @ Salado, and Clem Mekeska's).
Normally I take I44 to I35 at OK City, and keep it simple. Friends there suggested Rt 75 to Rt 69 up thru Ok, and it was more enjoyable. Took Rt 82 from Denton, Tx across to the eastto Sherman , from I35 to 75, to avoid Dallas, as they say Dallas is misery. I may just try my luck at Dallas next yr, just see how it is. Would be shorter in the direct route.
The Suburban had it's work cut out with the head winds and several pounds of animal and equipment in the steel trailer.

Glad to be home tho to get ready for planting
