It smells bad to me. Why was the damaged package returned to the sender? But more important - the seller is responsible for adequate packaging for shipment! Obviously, it was not packaged properly. (edited to add - I believe the seller is reponsible for delivery of the item - insurance would only cover condition of the item - maybe not delivery. Wow, I hate a small screen/eyboard - typo's are easy to make and hard to see.) I bought a laptop computer on ebay a while back. I paid for the insurance. It arrived in a beat up light cardboard box, literally with a 2" hole in the address label and a 3" tear on one corner. I drove it to the post office to open it. The computer was wrapped in bubble wrap and was ok fortunately; the seller had pocketed the insurance money instead of applying it to the package. I'd suggest filing a claim with ebay/paypal but I've found them to have less scrupples than desirable. You pay your money and take the chance - don't pay more than you are willing to throw away. 1 |
