Centralia, MO | I think the CC associate was giving you some BS. I walked into the bank where I had an auto loan about six months ago and wanted to write them a check from another bank in the same town to payoff the loan so they would release the title lien so I could trade the truck that afternoon. They gave me this song and dance that it would take 2 weeks to "clear" the check and issue the release. I said BS and worked my way up the management chain until I finally got one to admit that yes they go to their computer right then and immediately clear the check, payoff the loan and release the lien. I think these bank employees just don't want to jump right on something and instead want to work at the leisurely pace they used to years ago. | |
