Mid Michigan | If the company comes out of bankruptcy when they emerge on the other side your stock will be worthless. Sometimes they start over and issue new shares but the old ones will history. Kind of a hard pill to swallow. Goes along with the guys on here saying don't have all your eggs in one basket. I was telling that to a lady I know that has a lot of kroger stock and works for kroger. I told her to sell it asap and put the cash in a safe place. Buying and holding stock will eventually burn you. Here people that bought GM stock back in 1933 have the same value of shares they did over 75 years ago. That is terrible. You're supposed to buy low and sell high. Unfortunately most people buy high when going is good and sell it low when the market crashes! I know a lot of people right now that own a lot of $50 dollar a share GM stock. Never sold it because of course it will keep going up right? | |
