I agree Paul.

I bought a drone and would almost venture to say it paid for itself in the first month. Had a field scheduled to be tiled so before the contractor came out I went up and got photos of standing water in the field, making sure you could see visible landmarks in every picture. Week before they were supposed to come out and start tiling I dropped the pictures off to him, he said they were actually a very big help.

Additionally I do weed scouting and crop checks on a regular basis.

You don't need all the fancy imaging and mapping to make a drone pay for itself and be useful. If you try to use it as a tool it is much more valuable than just a toy, but when it isn't a tool it is a heck of a toy too!
