This exact model has been used for spraying in Asia since the 1997. Remote control, although I image some autonomous flights in recent years as well. According to Yamaha's website they cover 2.4 million acres in Japan each year.

They were approved for use in the US in 2015.


Its something with 20 years of proven performance. Its powered by regular unleaded gasoline with a little bit of 2 stroke oil. Why the heck are all these new fangled drone companies focusing on electric 4 rotor aircraft and struggling with runtime and load capacity?
