| I'm just wondering what some of you are expecting for bean yields due to the bad drought we are in.Here in Vernon County,MO some beans in the west side of the county have been appraised as poor as 0-5 bpa. Some have already been baled. Some have only had 1-2" of rain in the past 10-12 weeks. The beans are terribly slow to ripen this year and most are 2-3 weeks away.
I caught a couple of rains that others missed so I'm hoping for 15-20 bpa but may be dreaming. The quality will be poor.I live in an area that has had poor-fair bean crops 8 of the past 9 years.2004 was the exception as it actually rained in July and August which gave us near 50 bpa beans.
It will be 92 here tomorrow and no rain in sight.Just had the driest Sept in way over 40 years with only .75" of moisture.
