Eastern Iowa | We have a field that has had a bad case of anthrocnose for the second year in a row. The plant died early and the stalk was very brittle. Crop agronomist said that it is anthrocnose. What are some of the methods that you guys have used to aleviate alleviate the problem? This field has been strip tilled in a continuous corn on corn atmosphere for about 4 or 5 years now. Would some good heavey tillage do any good where we really turn some dirt over or would putting it into beans next year be a better solution? | |
