Soutwest Ks. | Farm in SW KS, soybeans are testing 9% moisture but with tough green stems.
(RR variety) Corn will probably be testing 17.5% Plant health is very poor on the corn, going down and collapsing. Probably have approx. 10 days of harvest remaining, Should I cut all the corn and move back to the beans a wk later or should the beans come off first? We've been harvesting beans for the last 3 days and fighting humid weather and damp mornings and that combined with green stems makes for very slow progress. Have considerably more corn than beans left to harvest. Are beans more forgiving than corn? Will need to make a decision in the morning. Thanks for input! | |
