Lewisburg, PA | I have a farm that I picked from working with my neighbor dairyman five years ago. I was with him when we got the farm. I sub leased all his other ground and told me to pay this landlord direct. I planted and sold corn silage and haylage back to him. This spring we couldn't meet up on prices so I got out of all the sub leases and gave them back. I kept this one farm that I payed the rent on and I had Just renegoitiated with the landlord this spring because my dairyman said to take care of it(before I gave the sub leased ground back). Now my buddy is mad says that ground is theirs because with out them I would not of got a chance at it. They are right some but that farm has taken a chunk out of my pocket book and I have been doing the talking with the landlord, he doesn't care who gets it as long as he gets his check. This farm is in spitting distance from their big dairy why he is crying now. | |
