| I am interested in knowing the value of 3000 gal liquid hog manure, I understand that the nutrient content can vary. I should say that I am just a row cropper and know nothing about manure. A neighbor of mine said he would apply 3000 gal/acre for around $120/acre, he said that he would have the manure tested for nutrient content and 3000 gal would have the equivelent of a 170 bu corn removal. Is that in line? How much N would be in 3000 gal, would the N be gone before spring if applied in the first week of Oct. He has a new Houle tank that covers the manure. I plan on disk chiseling the field prior to application. With current fert prices a 170 bu removal (24-61-48, using DAP) would cost around $116 applied. Thanks for any info | |
