South cental Ohio | I seeded some mamoth red clover this spring in my wheat. I got a beautiful stand. I didn't hit the wheat with too much nitrogen so as to let the clover have a chance to grow. I combined the wheat high and left as few a tracks in the field as I could. Everything looked great. I looked at it yesterday thinking it should be blooming and about ready to mow for stubble hay and to my surprise... it's still one stem with a three leaf clover head on it and it's less than knee high. No sighs of budding or heading out whatsoever. What's the deal? | |
