I'm not saying mine didn't run well, it just runs out a lot better after the intake/exhaust modifications. Again, just by the seat-of-the-pants dyno. As far as economy, you're right on with the engine speed. Unfortunately my pickup has the 4.10 gearing and I don't often have the patience to keep it at 2000 rpm or less since thats only 58 mph! MT is a big place...! Have a good one! TB
