Subject: RE: JCB tractor auction- Ohio

Dalton, OH
The Weaver's run a custom forage harvesting operation. I live in the same county as them and also own a JCB. Personally, I wouldn't touch one of the used JCB's they are offering for sale. Then run their equipment extremely hard, pulling tri-axle carts they build themselves behind the tractors. Sometime these carts can get over 30 tons in them or more. They are updating to the newer 8250 JCB's. They purchased 10 (5% of JCB's production of these for 2006) of these a few months ago. Rumor has it that they got such a good deal by buying 10 that JCB basically "threw in" the 9th and 10th ones. They usually only run 6-7 of them so they might be trying to make a little on the deal. I'm sure the new tractors will be protected as I think I noticed it wasn't an absolute auction. My feeling is that most of the local people that go to this sale will just be nosey. I don't plan to attend. Any other questions, you can email me or post and I'll try to get back with you. Busy making hay right now.
