IF you live in Nebraska you either have or are close to a cheap and tough solution for your corral. Go find a bent or old pivot setting on 'many' corners and use THAT pipe. Dont have to be so fancy with corners and such, use another piece of pipe with a couple rebars and slushed with concrete as a post and use them often.

If a calf or a cow cant get there head thru it to push they wont get out. Besides you MUST allow for expansion and contraction no matter what the material. Bet you CANT find a cheaper stronger material,,,especially for the money invested. Find an old water drive laying around, they are there just look. You can easily load and haul them quite a few miles.

Then bring on your 'BUFFALO'. Be sure you make it tall enough, a wild one thinks they can jump to the moon. IF they can get there head over standing on back feet they are half way over, and they will bend and break anything to get there.

MY opinion is tho, first time they try that, last time they 'tried' it, they are gone. As long as you arent teasing them with a low height to start with!!(like gate high). 6' mimimum, 7 ' better.

But do what comes natural in Nebraska, use old pivot pipe and spend your money on something else. And the 24' bin ring for a tub is great too, even a rusty ring will last forever IF it is not down in the mud to rust more and get 'sharper'

Half of building a facility is convincing the cows they only have one way to go. They 'know' they are there for the count and dont or cant escape because they 'feel' the corral is stronger than they are.
