If you want a conventional till or no-till drill with disc openers that can apply all or most of your fertilizer I think the best option is to go with mid-row banders. John Deere has this on their 1895. Exactrix claims they can add a little wing to the seed boot of a JD drill and put down NH3, but I have my doubts. The Morris "never-pin" air drill puts the fertilizer close to seed row with a separate disc, but that drill looks like has way too many moving parts. http://morris-industries.com
Lots of options if you go the hoe or double shank air seeder route.
