Thanks for the math correction - I was wobbling between using 50 or 60 bu beans for the comparision, forgot to change the 360 to 300. gross for beans. Now corrected. Thanks.
This comparison does change as you get out of prime corn ground but the original posters question (and 180./rent) was based on prime Iowa corn ground. In areas that are better suited to growing 50 bu beans than 200 bu corn my comparison obviously is not valid. The answer was based on the original question and NOT universally true.
