Subject: CaseIH STX verses New Holland TJ

What do these two four wheel drive lines have in common if anything? Are they completely different? I know the Case IH STX is based off of the Steiger line and its ancestors but what about the TJ? I remember New Holland had to sell off its blue Versatile line which Buhler bought. Did they start from scratch with the new TJ line? I used to collect all of the literature on four wheel drive tractors when I was a kid but have gotten out of the loop now that I have "grown up." By the way, I was a lime green Steiger nut when I was a kid. I just couldn't convince Dad that we needed one for our row crop operation!
