Subject: RE: Yanmar V 1070-excavator

I dont know anything about the v 1070, but I have a 1996 model yanmar b7u. It is a grey market machine too. It has been a great machine. The little naturally aspirated yanmar engine starts right up every time. The rest of the machine has performed very well. A b7u is about a 16,500lb machine. With low hours we bought it for just over 20 grand. Also, parts for our b7u are the same parts as a komatsu pc75uu2. The only drawback I have found with a grey machine is the filters. The air and hydraulic are common and easy to find, but the engine oil and fuel were a "tokyo only" deal. So I made my own filter adapter.
