NW Washington
If you have a metal roof and a decent pitch on the roof you are not going to see much of a snow load as long as the snow has a place to slide off too. With a big open front the wind blowing the roof off is probably a bigger issue.
The building package should have an engineers stamp on it somewhere certifying that the building meets all building code requirements. It is the engineer's rear end and Menards or whoever, if the building fails structurally. If you want changes or alterations to the design make sure the changes are blessed by the structural engineer or the liability will be on you. Your insurance man has interests here too.
