Subject: Re: clutch adjustment on semi

The clutch brake will be on the input shaft between the clutch and trans, it will be about a 1/2" thick and 4 inches in diameter. It should have a fiber facing just like a brake on it. It is only about 1/8" thick. It should move freely on the input shaft. To adjust the clutch tighten the adjustment in the clutch until you can just fit the head of a 3/8" bolt (9/16" head) between the brake and breaking surface on the trans. with the clutch disengaged. It could take quite a bit of adjustment if badly out of adjustment. If you go too far just loosen it up the same way. If th linkage has ever been adjusted (the incorrect way to adjust a clutch like this) you might need to adjust it back after adjusting the clutch. If by chance the break is gone you can get replacement brakes that you can install with the trans installed if you know the input shaft size.
