| The continued aggressive buying of vegetable oils by China apparently caught a lot of folks by surprise considering the market is at record high prices...
Think we are also witnessing a surge of buying by folks who'd prefer to own a commodity than a piece of paper. A lot of new money came into these markets last week.
In exchanging emails this morning with folks more familiar with Asia, I am raising the thought perhaps the damage to some of the Chinese crops via the cold & snow & in some cases dry weather, may be more serious than earlier thought. At this point, both of them are also suspicious of the same possibility.
