McLeod County Minnesota | The active ingredients might be similar but the majority of what we buy, the inert ingredients, are not. I am not familiar enough with the various chemistries to make a judgment and I am not willing to risk a crop to save a few pennies.
Regarding atrazine, I always specified genuine AAtrex when having the co-op do the spraying. One year they ran out of AAtrex and substituted a “will fit” product that totally bombed out on one 40 acre field. A complaint to the co-op got the rest of the story so I called the manufacturer. Their rep was in another state that week and wasn’t scheduled to get back to Minnesota for another week or two. I am willing to pay more to get the full service and guarantee Monsanto provides. To each his own!
