Subject: RE: Tall Narrow Rear Tractor Tires for Spraying

NW Iowa
On our sprayer tractor we run 320/90R54 tires. We do run duals however though. All our crops are in 30 inch row. We have 1000 gallons on the tractor along with a 90' boom. We weren't sure if it was a wise idea to go that narrow of a tire if it got wet, but so far we are very happy with the set up. We also plant with this tractor and see no major difference in traction, or compaction. I believe we are running around 38 psi. The narrower tires do require more psi.
You'll just have to do what you think is best, but I think you would get by just fine with the metric 50's or the 14.9's
