Subject: RE: Computer Learning

I've killed several computers learning what to, and more important, what not to do.

The only way to learn is to do it, heck, it's only a computer ..
if you break it, you go get a new one.

The most important thing I learned was:
DO NOT kick the computer while running (or any other time) ..
it did not faze the computer one bit, however, I almost broke my foot.

Along the way I've picked up several tricks .. I thought most used them,
but, I have found most never heard of them.

Here's one for the spell check deal.

Open your email program, I use Outlook Express,
write all your posts, letters, notes in that program ..
spell check,
then copy/paste the finished draft to where ever you want the finished copy to go,
(including a word document .. word is such a pain)

Works with everything I've tried ..
in fact, I've never even opened the note pad, or what ever it is, in windows.

You can even copy/paste to the email program,
edit what you want to in to the draft, change fonts, colors etc.
just be sure that Rich Text HTML is turned ON under 'Format'.

I think if you use this little trick you'll really enjoy it .. saves time too.

Remember to say NO to 'save changes' ..
unless you really want to save them in the email program.

Oh, and copy .. do not cut ..
if the copy gets botched up somewhere along the way,
you'll have the original to go back to ..
