Nevada, Iowa
Ron:

Thanks for the reply. This is the first time we have ever had a failure, that we've noticed, and I am just trying to put enough facts together to regroup for next year. It looks like CRW would've been the way to go "here" this year but I guess the fat lady hasn't sung yet. I do think I want to have a rep out, I feel like you, that the rain should have activated the insecticide.

With the pressure your area has had, do you have any experience with beetle spraying? This field is going to tassel and pollinate very unevenly due to the varying pressure and drought conditions. Timing this application is going to be a freaking nightmare. I have got very little corn trying to pollinate and some that may be 10-12 days away. Have you fellas run into something like this and what is your product of choice, what gives you the most residual? Any info will help. Thanks, Dave
