The Road Boss works fine for spreading & leveling loose sand, but if it's packed hard, the knotched blade that they have for a front blade is a joke.  They wear off very fast.  (unless they've made some changes in the last few years)

We replaced their rinky-dink blade with one that has replaceable carbide tips that works a whole lot better.  Also the runners need to be hard surfaced if you want them to last.

 Once you have it set up with the right blades etc., they do a fair job of smoothing out washboard roads.

They aren't worth a hoot in wet conditions....only dry materials flow through like they're supposed to.
