As far as the story I was told.........Kinze was buying row units from JD and putting them on his frames. JD couldn't produce enough row units to build their own planters and sell them to him as well, so they cut him off. He started copying JD's row unit..........basically to a "T". JD took him to court and in court it was found that JD had copied some parts of their row unit from the White(I think) planter units..........thus the reason Kinzenbaw won the case.
