the 956 will be the new version of what you have. yours should be the same thing as a 565a hesston. So that is two generations of improvements from the 500's to 800's to 900's. The 956's are pretty solid, the drive system is different, there is a slip clutch for the pickup, the declutcher works differently, the twine wheels are outside the twine box where you can see them. I like the monitore on the 956 a lot better too.
