Problem I have with the 3 string bales is " who wants to handle 120-140# bales". Other than that they would be ok. In the HUMID east they would spoil way faster because either you could "tie a knot in the bale" or it would draw moisture.
Workers comp would be another problem with the 3 stringers, Back injurys would hurt you fast.
Either make them to heavy to handle or light enough to handle.
