Its a real problem. The more toys we get the worse it gets.

I remember reading that in selecting astronauts, that NASA was concerned about candidates that sailed or fished running a boat with a simple tiller because the tiller gets moved the opposite direction of the desired boat course change, just opposite that of a stick in a high performance aircraft. That early instinct can prove to be deadly. Maybe the military is also worried about fighter pilots.

I don't drive an automatic more than once a decade, but it sure stops one quick when I put the "clutch" pedal to the floor.
