My first question is what do you mean by a mess? Thrown ears?stalks standing upright? shelled corn on the ground? Lot of things as others have said can influence the job it does. We had a problem with shelled corn being thrown out the head,only did it when coming out at the end of the field.Asked the dealers for any suggestions and they really offered no help. It finally started growling in soybeans and so we replaced the rasp bars.All of a sudden no more shelled corn out the front. The cylinder was back feeding right back down the elevator.
