Graymont Illinois

Just my observation, for what its worth. I have not had much problem with JB in past. Have found them in spots (usually covering smart weeds) btw corn and bean fields.

This year really seeing them. When cultivating beans today. The field had quite abit of volunteer corn. Sprayed 4 oz Raptor and about 3 oz Fusion about a week ago. NonGMO

The "bunches" of volunteer corn were covered with JB. Pretty chewed up. Hopefully, my removing ?80% of volunteer corn will let JB finish off ? dieing vc . Did not see many beetles bothering beans.

A little plowing left then better scout corn.

(WAG,) when planting field cultivated ground, this spring, I thought it was very unusual, that , the "blackbirds" , were constantly flying in front of tractor. picking up something in planter marker trench. I believe now they were picking up JB grubs.

One good thing about conventional tillage is you get to scout your fields closer. When I used to hoe crops, you got a good look at problems. i.e. cutworms, JB,

Good thing about going to less tillage, is more time to scout:>) Brian
