Martinsville, Ohio
Enjoyed the discussion, Keith, Jim and Martin. Know what you mean about the headaches! I get enough from typical rotations without the agonizing specialty crops thrown in usually. Now I know who to call!

First corn will be awhile here, Washington County way south and east of here started this morning, already all sold out before its picked, $5 a dozen. Good for them! Lots of people ready for REAL corn not Glenn's Revenge. Ron, the supermarkets cannot purchase, handle and get corn to you in a manner that even comes close to fresh market sweet corn. I have had at least 20 calls already.

A few growers in the Lancaster area are pretty close to first harvest but you would probably have to be there and help pick to get any, sold as fast as you pick it.

You would have needed tunnels or plastic for any chance to be close to any harvest here this spring as it was too cold.
