Subject: Japanese Beetles

St.Clair Co. IL.
was out planting double crop milo today, while checking the seed depth,I noticed a lot of beetles in the ground while digging, should I be concerned?? knowthey play hell on the silk when corn is polinating, but will they eat the young shoots?
and maybe this is what happened to some first crop milo it came up was doing good and then starting to disapearing, a three acre spot in the middle of a field this area was a little grassy and I was out looking at what to do and noticed the milo was GONE!! so I burned off the grass with some burndown and replanted. it's up again but didn't look of a bug, should I??I am in the southwest portion of IL.
