This is a source of irritation to me. If you are going to tell me my wheat weighs 56 pounds per bushel, then divide my net weight by 56 pounds, not 60. For instance, 6000 pounds at 60 is 100 bushels. 6000 at 56 is 107.14. So since they are buying it per bushel and state that a bushel weighs 56 pounds they should pay me on 107.14 bushels. Have yet to convince an elevator of that yet. Instead they short me 7.14 bushels and then dock the price 12 cents. It is making me thinl more about CMC's system (http://www.custommarketingco.com/) Looking at my tickets 57.9 - 57.5 is $.03, 57.4 - 57.0 is $.06, 56.9 - 56.5 is $.09, 56.4 - 56.0 is $.12, 55.9 55.5 is $.16, 55.4 - 55.0 is $.20. Gives you an idea of how my wheat is running. |
