Greencastle, Pa.
Ken, I'm glad you are getting some rain! From Chambersburg to Hagerstown Md. it is not raining at all. Well, may as well say that. One inch of rain in June out of five different events[can't call them storms] I was at a LLC Board meeting in New Bloomfield [Perry Co.] last night till ten pm. At about nine pm a storm hit there and I thought it was going to take the place of the map.[they got a inch of rain that morning also] I left for home at ten and it rained so hard you could only drive about 20mph. Rained all the way[63mi.] untill I reached the South side of Chambersburg. At that point the road was dry! I live ten miles West of Chambersburg or six miles North of Greencastle and it is almost beyond hope here. It is burnt-up. I took 2nd. cutting of alfalfa of two weeks ago and the fields are as brown as when we cut them. I have corn that was planted in creek bottom fields on May 8th that is only a foot tall.
Rain Fall for the area between Chambersburg/Greencastle Pa. [about 16 miles]
6-1------- .1"
6-2---- .35"

Praying for rain and doing the dance!
