I believe the tech fee which has no product-shipping-handling costs attached, and goes directly to M, exceeds the cost per acre of glyphosate. I thought they said that was for research $$?

I think people use whichever they're most comfortable with. Some Monsanto products have some warranty attached & for the price difference, may make them attractive.
