Subject: started with mole knife

Flandreau, SD
Should have said I started with a mole knife last fall and did some bean stalks and work good. This spring went into corn that had been vertical tilled last fall and made it about 150 feet. Turned around and call Jim from Dawn and got 12 Units from them. Put them on and went back out and worked very well. I called Him back the day I started and said I can see Fertilize on top of the ground. Did not like to see that but it was very little and the rest was mixed in well. Not problem with root burn or emergance. On customer feilds we put on a 120-40-20 all in spring and our own we used a variety of low salt fert and composted Fish.

All my strips local were done this spring some vertical deep last fall and some vertical deep got done This spring. Got wet and froze around end of Nov. Did do fall only with mole knife about 50 miles north of me on 500 acres but have not been up to see any of it.

No Dawn strips only Corn on Corn until this fall. I will like to see them work in heavy stalks.

kids gotta go to bed, later
