Why no AMS in glyphosate

I'm sorry I can't provide a reference, but I do remember reading an article a year or so ago regarding adding AMS to Glyphosate. the article confirmed that the reason to add AMS was to bond with ions that would otherwise bond with the Gyphosate and inactivate it. There was some discussion about whether AMS had to be added first. One group of University researchers stated that they believed it was a reversible reaction and even if the Gyphosate was tied up, the addition of AMS would reverse the reaction and make the Glyphosate available again. When possible though, I usually do add the AMS first. Why take a chance?
