Rawlins County Kansas
Sub-3m is fine for yield mapping. Last year I had a Garmin GPS 76 in one machine for all of corn harvest and had no problems working with the yield data. Regarding the data card, 5mb will be somewhat small and you will have to download the data every couple of days. We use compact flash memory in PCMCIA adaptors. It's cheap and a 32 or 64 mb card will usually run all of harvest. Don't buy a full size PCMCIA flash memory card as they are pricey and you can't do anything else with them while the compact flash memory can be used in Ipaq's, cameras, etc.

Good luck,

Diet
