Subject: RE: Outback Baseline

Pittsburg, Kansas

On our farm Trevor got to plant double crop beans for a day or two with one. He seemed pretty impressed. He had been using eDrive with an S2 reciever for planting when the tech guys brought out the Baseline to try out. The S2 did an adequate job for 20" double crop beans planted in wheat stubble but he said the Baseline made it do a really nice job. None of the wide/narrow guess rows when satelites come into or out of view, etc.. That is all the experience we can relate for now. Seemed plenty accurate for planting.

One comment he made is that it would be nice to have a permanent post located at each farm to set the Baseline unit on. The unit itself was easy to transport to each field in the cab of the tractor but the tripod that comes with it is kind of bulky to lug around and didn't fit in the cab of our 8300T worth a darn.
