I would not grind if I could keep from it. I always have heard to not grind hay. It moves through the cow too fast and is not utilized. The size of the particle is what moves it from one stomach to the next and when you grind it, it moves right on through. A cow is a grinding machine in itself, made for roughages.
Wheat straw has a feed source for cows?
