NE SD
Nobody has reported any cow/calf losses that I know of. All have been heavier weight steers on dirt. I've been by some of these feedlots that lost so many animals. They are state-of-the-art and water isn't an issue. Most started watering when they saw trouble but it didn't matter. Believe it was the humidity. Hot, high humidity and no breeze whatsoever. We've had hotter days when it was calm like that and heard of 2 here or 3 there but never in the hundreds so it had to be just the right combination.
