I agree - they don't seem to impressed by the barb wire at all if there is something interesting on the other side.  I placed some round bales too close to one spot along the fence and they darn near took the wire out to feed on those bales (there was plenty of grass in the pasture). The corn is pretty clean but the fenceline weeds just got away from me this spring...
