I don’t know how to reply on line but here is what I have to say.
If it is that dry the best thing to do is put the 3 rods in and also put a ground wire in your fence. If you go to www.gallagherusa.com and down load the power fence manual it takes about grounding and how it works. If the ground is that dry you will not be able to complete the circuit and that is why the ground wire will help deliver the animal a better shock. You can dig a hole and put the ground rods in it but I have never had a problem driving the rods in hard soil.
