Auburn, Indiana | Do you happen to have Version 11 or higher of Site Mate? If so, go to the GPS Setup box and select the "Comm" tab. At the bottom of the tab you should see an "Auto Baud" button. Click on this button and Site Mate will search all of the available Com Ports until it finds the one with GPS. It will then search for the appropriate Baud Rate. If nothing happens, this would indicate that the laptop is not recognizing the USB as a com port. If that's the case I'd start wondering about drivers and operating system. If you go to the website for the manufacturer, do they have drivers to download? See if maybe there are different drivers for different Operating Systems and try.
