| Last Saturday I hooked up computer in the shop by running a line from the house underground to our shop. Plugged the eithernet cable into the computer and it worked..........Works GREAT! Only problem is the old computer in the house got slow and after 2-3 days it will not "find the server"...................Wife is NOT happy!
So
We called the Internet provider and they claim my router is at fault. The connection signal strength is "Very Good" and says its connected (old computer with wireless), but cannnot find the server. Im using the new comp. in the shop to communicate with you all and its working great..........
Called Netgear.....................After talking to two different females of which english is obviously their second language, they tell me to hook the modem directly to the computer in the house. Only problem is it would take a $50 cable and drilling, fishing the dang wire through the walls of a house I don't own (dont want to do it). I hung up on her.
Any ideas?
