Ted- First I would double check the communication settings on your GPS first. The GPS could be overloading the 3000 with to much information. If you have an Ag Leader GPS connected then it is probably setup correct but you should double check the settings. If it isn't an Ag Leader GPS make sure the GPS is set to NMEA @ a baud rate of 4800, and only have the VTG and GGA strings turned on. Also make sure the GPS is only outputting at 1Hz update rate.

Regarding the rate change at 40ft off from a staight line make sure the application distance from antenna is entered correct. If you need help setting this I would contact your dealer or Ag Leader support.

When the Ag Leader appears to lose communication with the Micro Trak have you tried to cycle power on the Micro track and leave the Ag Leader powered on? What are the results? Does the Ag Leader update ground speed or any other display items when the communication appears to be lost?
